This Privacy Policy explains how IntentSignal Systems, LLC ("IntentSignal", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when merchants use Margaritas.ai (the "App") with Shopify.

By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

To operate the App features described in our Shopify listing, we may process:

• Merchant account data: store domain, store owner contact details, app settings, and billing plan details.
• Customer data: customer identifiers and profile fields from Shopify needed to run customer scans and influencer matching.
• Order context: order and purchase signals used to detect notable purchases and trigger merchant alerts.
• App usage data: logs, diagnostics, and event metadata used for security, troubleshooting, and product improvement.

3. How we use information

• Provide the core App functionality, including customer scans and influencer/celebrity discovery.
• Send alerts when a customer meets configured follower thresholds.
• Maintain and secure the App, prevent abuse, and investigate incidents.
• Provide support and communicate service, billing, or policy updates.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

4. Shopify data access and permissions

Margaritas.ai accesses Shopify data through Shopify APIs and only with merchant-granted permissions. Data access is limited to what is reasonably necessary to provide App functionality.

As shown in our Shopify listing, this may include access to customer, order, and related store records required to generate insights and alerts.

5. Sharing and subprocessors

We do not sell merchant or customer personal information.

We may share data with trusted service providers that help us operate the App, such as:

• Hosting and infrastructure providers
• Email and notification delivery providers
• Analytics, logging, and monitoring providers

These providers are contractually required to protect data and process it only for authorized purposes.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain data for as long as necessary to provide the App and comply with legal obligations. When you uninstall Margaritas.ai, we will delete or de-identify merchant and related Shopify data within a commercially reasonable period, unless longer retention is required by law.

You may request deletion sooner by contacting support@margaritas.ai.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No system is 100% secure, but we continuously work to protect data handled by the App.

8. International transfers

We may process and store information in the United States or other jurisdictions where we or our providers operate. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information. Merchants can contact us to exercise applicable rights requests: support@margaritas.ai.

If you are a customer of a merchant using the App, please contact the merchant first. We will assist the merchant in responding as required by applicable law.

10. Children's privacy

The App is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or by email.
